I have applied, when will I know if my application is approved?
You will get an email when we receive your application. We do our best to have an answer for you within approximately 2 weeks. That time frame can be dependent upon your references getting back to us in a timely manner. If we have not heard from your references we will email them again. If we do not hear back from them after a second try we will let you know. At that point you can either speak with them to let them know we are trying to contact them or you send us a replacement reference. If you have further questions about your application, please email us at: registration@submissivejourneyweekend.com
Do I have to be in an active D/s relationship to attend?
No. All s-types are welcome to attend regardless of current relationship status. Why do I need references?
SJW is a weekend designed to allow all s-types to be in a safe environment where we can be vulnerable, learn, grow and of course have fun. To that end we want to make sure that all attending are s-types who share common goals for the weekend.
How old do you have to be to attend?
Submissive Journey Weekend is an adult event and you must be at least 18 years old at the time of the event to attend.
Are there scholarships available for SJW?
While there have traditionally been a couple of scholarships available each year we cannot guarantee them yearly at this point. You can apply on the scholarships page.
When is my payment due?
Final payments are due no later than 02/15/2023.
How many people will be at SJW?
Attendance is capped at 40 people including presenters, staff, and attendees for 2024.
Who attends SJW?
SJW is open to all along the gender identity, relationship status, and s-type spectrum.
My dominant wants to come along to learn too, is that ok?
SJW is set up only for s-types and taught by s-types and is not open to Dominants/Owners/Masters/Tops.
Can I have my own room?
The cabin is not equipped for individual rooms. Attendees do sleep 2 to a bed; queen & king size beds. We make every effort to make sure our attendees are comfortable. However, we do ask that you try to be flexible.
Can I room with someone I know?
When filling out your questionnaire indicate in the “Anything else you need to tell us?” section that you would like to room with someone in particular and their name. We will absolutely do our best to accommodate your request.
Do I need to bring my own sheets, pillow, towels?
Nope! The basics of sheets, pillows & towels are provided for the weekend. If you have that pillow you just can’t sleep without though, of course you can bring it! 🙂
What DO I need to bring?
Changes of clothes, toiletries, etc. What you would normally take for a weekend away in a mountain cabin. While meals are provided, if you wish to have between meal snacks we recommend bringing your favorite snack choices. Similarly, if you desire beverages beyond water, coffee, and iced tea, please bring them.
Also, please bear in mind that with nearly 40 people the amount of space for personal property is limited. Please bring only what you will need.
Is there a refund policy?
FULL PAYMENT REFUND POLICY
- Full refund available if requested before February 15th by email.
- After February 15th refunds will be processed but a $70 cancellation will be withheld.
- Fee is transferable to an approved application.
How do I pay?
You will be emailed with payment info upon acceptance.
Do I have to participate in every class, meal, etc.?
No, you get to set your schedule for this weekend. If you want to attend as many classes as possible then go for it! If you need to space things out, rest some, spend time in the hot tub then you do you! We support each other in taking care of ourselves throughout the weekend.
If I forget something can I go into town to get it?
No, once we are at the cabin we are there for the weekend unless there is an emergency.
